Nicola Nardone (affectionately known as Pupo) is the soul of Tenuta Vincenzo Nardone, a small family estate in Venticano, Irpinia (Campania, Italy) rooted in traditions stretching back over two centuries.

He has a few ultra funky lines of producing wine alongside with super classy and traditional-leaning bottles (exactly shown in our portfolio!) so we like to think of him as of mad scientist with punk approaches.

He practices organic-inspired farming, spontaneous fermentation, no additives and no filtration, all rooted in a respect for Irpinia’s volcanic soils and native grapes only.

We have a personal weak spot for Pupo because he is eccentrically charismatic and knows how to balance experiment with quality. Indeed a rare ability in natural wine scene.
