Herdade do Cebolal

Herdade do Cebolal

Portugal

South of Lisbon, a few kilometers from the Atlantic, lies Herdade do Cebolal - a family estate rooted in the Alentejo coast since 1890. Five generations have worked this land, today Isabel and her son Luís guide the project, while the sixth is already growing up between barrels and rows of vines.

Cebolal is more than vineyards: 20 hectares of vines breathing alongside 65 hectares of forest. The family experiments with regenerative and syntropic farming - forests planted back into farmland, vines grown in balance with soil and water cycles. No chemicals, no shortcuts, just time, patience, and biodiversity shaping the taste of the grapes.

The result? Wines that are not polished to please but alive with personality - Atlantic winds, forest soil, and family memory bottled together. Every glass carries both tradition and experiment, proof that respect for nature can be radical and timeless at once.
