Güterweg Neckenmarkter Ried Bodigraben

The grapes come from the Bodigraben vineyard, a unique site characterized by its cooler microclimate and high-altitude position. The vines here are approximately 40 years old, reaching deep into the soil to produce fruit with concentrated flavors and a refined acidic backbone.

Aged for 12 months in two 600L barrels and another 12 months in one 1200L barrel, which allows the wine to breathe and develop its stony character without the flavor of the wood interfering. Deep notes of blackberry, dark plum, forest floor, layered with an intense scent of crushed stones and black pepper. Feels like it travels straight down the center of the tongue. The tannins are extremely fine, almost like cocoa powder, with a velvety grip.
