Mix of older and younger vines from all over Neckenmarkt perfectly shows different soils! Fermentation in 600-1200L Austrian oak barrels, aged there without moving or adding anything. Just before bottling grape varities coming together with Gruner Veltliner always playing dominant role, with Chardonnay, Muskat and Welschriesling as support.
Light, mineral, crisp, with lively acidity and lots of citruses, signature white pepper of Gruner Veltliner and quite textured.
'Querschnitt' literally translates as 'cross-section', referring to the surface exposed by cutting through an object. It also means a 'representative sample' in a figurative sense, emphasising this wine as one of the staples of Kolfok.
