Matassa Rouge

The Tattouine vineyard earned its name because the harsh, iron rich, red schist soil literally looks like a desolate alien planet. You would expect century old vines baking in this extreme terrain to produce a heavy and exhausted red, but Tom Lubbe flips the script and pulls pure, gravity defying lightness out of the rocks instead!

Co fermented whole cluster with indigenous yeasts and absolutely no added sulfur, aged in neutral tanks to keep the tension razor sharp. Bright wild strawberry, tart pomegranate, and a savory crushed rock finish. Electric, wild! incredibly fresh.
